Zhaoxia Ding is the Pioneer of Aesthetic Arts Energetics, Founder and Technical Director of the Xia Arts Energetiques Academy. She devotes her life to help promote Tai Ji, Qi Gong and Chinese traditional healing knowledge to the world. Her various activities cover the fields of Martial Art & Chinese culture & Artistic performance & Health & Sport Management. She was born in Henan, the cradle of Chinese culture. She learned Chinese Gong Fu from her very young age and when competing, she won 7 gold national medals for Sword, Spear and Taekwondo. She was a member of the First Chinese National Taekwondo team. She has been honoured as one of 100 hundred most famous Tai Ji masters of the world in 2016. Educated and nurtured with both cultures of the East (Beijing Sports University) and the West (French National Institute of Sport, University Catholic of Louvain, Belgium and International Olympic Committee), she has been involved in the organisation of the most important international events of the past years: demonstration of ten thousand people practising Tai Ji (Tian An Men,1998); World Championship 2007; 2008 Beijing Olympics as a technical official, 2010 Asian Games as a Deputy Manager, Youth Olympics 2014. As an international ambassador for Chinese culture, she was on the cover of several martial arts magazine, and also wrote articles for magazines (Chinese, French), and has been interviewed on several occasions by TV channels, national Journals. She is also a respected artist who performs and demonstrates her art on the international stages: such as a unique representation for the 2016 Asian French cultural festival in Singapore.
Pursuit the Beauty of Moving Meditation ~ The Arts Energetics of Chinese Internal Martial Arts (Tai Ji & Qi Gong) for the Holistic Health
This presentation will aim to demonstrate Tai Ji & Qi Gong, an ancient body mind spirit art, with its profound beauty of various aspects, by combining Taoism Confucianism Buddhism and the philosophy of Chinese martiaux arts, the theory of traditional Chinese medicine and the scientific movements’ methods. According to Chinese ancient philosophy, we are a microcosm of the universe. Human body is an energetic creation. Movement is beautiful, and it is intrinsically linked to the beauty where we see what ourselves are and how interact harmoniously with the nature. This demands wisdom. Through analyse of the human development history, Human is facing a very serious difficult situation, these issues should awaken us strongly that we do have a great role to involve and huge responsibilities to tackle these problems. Meanwhile most of human being was segmented for long time. In our modern world, it seems the technologies and science are well developed, but physiologically and emotionally, human isn’t immersed into the happiness and satisfaction. We all struggle for our ambitions; the desires and pressures are on us. We try to maintain equilibrium but it takes very little to destabilise us and to expose the fragility of our health and life. During this presentation Zhaoxia will explore with us what are the beauty of Tai Ji & Qi Gong, what benefits could be diffused to the modern life, and through her 39 years realisation how the values and effects of Tai Ji & Qi Gong practice influenced her daily life and inspired her to spread out those charms and fragrances of oriental body cultural language to the world. Movements beget life, and beauty of Tai Ji & Qi Gong is akin to living wisdom, well-being and happiness.
